Glass mason jar lanterns with a ghost or cat-on-pumpkin silhouette that glow by themselves at dusk

A pair of glass lanterns that glow like pages from a Halloween storybook, lighting themselves as the sun goes down.

Designed as classic mason jars filled with a tangle of fairy lights, each lantern carries a black silhouette on softly colored glass: a ghost drifting over a haunted castle in purple, or a black cat perched on a jack-o'-lantern in orange. Set a pair on the front steps among the pumpkins, hang one from a shepherd's hook in the garden, line the path on their stakes, or bring them to the harvest table. By day they read as charming glass lanterns; by night the whole scene glows.

Made with care from glass with a matte black solar lid, a metal carry handle and a ground stake, each jar measures about 10 cm wide and 16 cm tall (3.9 x 6.3 in) and stands 47 cm (18.5 in) tall on its 22 cm (8.7 in) stake. The solar panel in the lid charges a rechargeable AA battery through the day, and a light sensor switches the lanterns on at dusk for 8 to 10 hours of glow. They are water resistant for rain and frost.

Choose your tone. Ghost and Cat Pumpkin (one of each), a pair of purple Ghosts, or a pair of orange Cat Pumpkins.

At Zanoro Casa, the details are what make a house feel like home.

A Storybook Glow in the Garden

Hang one from a shepherd's hook among the asters and pumpkins. It soaks up the sun all afternoon and glows on its own as the evening draws in.

Three Ways to Display

Push the included stakes into a flower bed, carry them by the handle to a branch or hook, or simply set them on the steps and table. Every lantern turns on by itself at dusk.
