The Luna Velata turns light into something you can almost touch. A tall column of hand knitted washi rice paper rises in soft, irregular folds and glows from within like a paper lantern lit by candlelight, bringing a hush of quiet to the room.

Designed in the spirit of Japandi calm, its organic wabi sabi silhouette celebrates the beauty of the handmade and the imperfect. The warm 3000K glow filters up and down through the pleated paper, wrapping a living room, bedroom or foyer in a soft, meditative light that feels more like atmosphere than illumination.

Made with care from hand knitted rice paper over an iron and bamboo frame, it stands 180 cm (70.9 in) tall on a slim black tripod and measures 38 cm (15 in) across. A single E27 LED bulb is included, wired with a simple on and off switch and rated for AC 90 to 260V, so it is ready to glow anywhere, and it comfortably lights a 5 to 10 square metre space.
